DJ BenJammins Profile Page
Hey What's going on People? DJ BenJammin here to give you some insight on
myself, as the Spike Website didn't feel the need to post my profile.
After all, I'm the only one promoting their show.
To start, I've been racing for 12 years. I've never had a regular stock
car or drag race class I raced in, I was always just attracted to the crashing
stunt type motor sports. My first race I ever did was a school bus figure
8 race in August 1994. I had just gotten back from Woodstock 94' and one
of my mechanic friends at work (Bucky) needed some crazy drivers. Well,
how can I turn that down. From that first bus race I was hooked, from
building them, tuning the motors and painting some wild paint jobs, this
eventually turned into a School Bus Demo Derby, then TNN came to town with their
Friday night demolition derby series. I did 2 live broadcasts when they
came to town. They were my first derbies so I really sucked at it, and I
learned a whole lot but it was fun. The track started eventually getting out of
the regular stock car/bus race night and changed to an all out "Crash-A-Rama"
style event. The stock car drivers were getting pretty upset cause us
Crash/Trash racers were bringing in more people than they could ever dream of.
I eventually moved up to the Boat trailer racing, demos, Camper trailer races,
and teamed up with my dad for the chain races. With all of us Crash
racers, it became a brotherhood. We'd always try and help out everyone in
the pits, as it was all about putting on the best show for the fans. I've
semi retired a few races, but the drive to get back in a car and smash something
always drives me to get back in. With the Press I've received by being in
Playboy, Esquire, People, and our work being showcased in Motor Trend, and
Automobile Magazine, it seemed like this could only get better. In being
one of the oldest Veterans in the sport,I started racing busses before Chuck,
Jeff, Moe or Raybo ever crashed a School bus. But together we have made
the sport grow, and have brought it to the level it has now

I'm currently promoting my Mobile DJ Business which
is an awesome way to sponsor my cars. I'm a shameless self promoter who'll
put a DJ BenJammin Bumper Sticker, or Paint job on anything that moves. It
seems there was some disagreement to allow sponsors names on our cars.
They originally said we could have local sponsors on our cars (As we barely got
paid anything the first season). well, I had my DJBenJammin.com all over
everything. They decided to edit everything until I called them out, (at
6am) Opps I didn't know it was CA time. They eventually showed some of my
plugs on the last 2 episodes, but I had limited airtime with my vehicles.
I guess me cussing them out might have had something to do with not being
originally cast for Season ll. Oh well it was all fun, and we made some
great money this season, so I didn't have to promote my self on the cars.
I'm doing it through the Carpocalypse website.
